No cool In cooling mode compressor will not start. Capacitor is weak- installed new capacitor, compressor still doesn’t start. Tested compressor ohms and checked continuity to ground. No reading on locked rotor amps. cooled compressor with water. Installed hard start kit- no change. Condenser is 2004 R22 and air handler is 2017 410A. R22 is no longer available and 410A systems are no longer available. The only repair option is full system replacement. Homeowner does not want system replacement estimate at this time. System is not cooling, homeowner is aware that i left the condenser breaker OFF.
On arrival found unit not cooling due to weak capacitor. Replaced part. Start and test. Pressures good. Temp split good. Unit cooling properly at this time.
No cool Upon arrival found thermostat set to off. Homeowner says system stopped cooling this morning and blows warm air. Set thermostat to cool, system runs as normal. While standing at condenser i noticed the fan motor stopped running for a few seconds then than back on. Monitored refrigerant pressures and air temp for 30 mins. System is slightly low on refrigerant but not enough to stop the system from cooking the home. Recommend replacement fan motor as it seems to be having intermittent issues. Homeowner would like to move forward with outdoor fan motor replacement. Also found weak capacitor and sent estimate for replacement. Signed up for maintenance membership.

No cool- downstairs bedroom system. Homeowner states the system stopped cooling a few days ago. -Found emergency drain pan full of water -cleared all water from pan and cleared condensate drain line -system is low on refrigerant, which caused evap coil to freeze and that’s what filled the pan with water. -Spoke with homeowners about moving forward with leak search and repairs that will be needed- system is no longer under warranty -Homeowner would rather replace the system that try to repair. -Recharged system with 3lbs 410A- system has 20° air temp split upon departure. -Emailed system replacement estimate to homeowners daughter Kelli Musial per request

No cool Upon arrival system is cooling. Homeowner explained that in the last 10 days the system has had intermittent issues. When the system stops cooling, she reset everything and then it works properly. checked refrigerant pressures and air temperature split. Checked air handler cleanliness. Tested capacitor and inspected all electrical components in condensing unit. Found multiple lizards in condenser electrical compartment. One lizard is behind the defrost control board. This is the most prominent issue with the system. Otherwise system is running properly. Advised homeowner. We will send her an estimate for a replacement defrost control board, but it is not guaranteed that this will stop the issue. Water leak Homeowner has been vacuuming water out of his emergency drain pan when the secondary switch trips. Upon initial inspection found the system did not have a primary float switch installed. Instead there was a 90° PVC pipe going directly into the emergency pan which is why when the drain line cloggs, the emergency pan fills up with water. Advised the homeowner that the system should have a primary float switch installed . Homeowner decided to move forward with primary float switch installation and drain line cleaning. Blew out drain line with nitrogen. Flushed and vacuumed with hot water. Treated evaporator coil pan with viper spray and left four pan tabs. Checked refrigerant pressures after restarting the system. System is running and cooling upon departure.
