Expert Cooling, Heating and Electrical In Redington Shores, FL

Redington Shores is a barrier island town in the truest sense — 220 acres wide, a mile and change of Gulf Boulevard, water on both sides. Incorporated in 1955 and still small by design, it's a place of beachfront condo towers like Redington Towers and Club Redington standing next to modest stilt homes, with Constitution Park and Del Bello Park anchoring the residential side away from the beach. We started Air Bros because we grew up working these barrier islands, and we understand the difference between servicing a closet air handler sixteen floors up in a gated condo and a ground-level home a block off the Intracoastal.
Two things define HVAC work in Redington Shores: salt air rolling straight off the Gulf, which corrodes outdoor equipment faster here than almost anywhere else in Pinellas County, and a housing mix — condos, vacation rentals, and site-built homes — that most inland HVAC companies simply aren't set up to handle well. We know these buildings, we know these streets, and we build our service around the conditions that actually affect them.
Professional AC Repair in Redington Shores
When your AC stops working in Redington Shores, Gulf humidity moves in fast and same-day availability matters more than almost anything else. Air Bros offers same-day Air Conditioning Repair throughout Redington Shores for all major brands and models — refrigerant leaks, failed capacitors, seized contactors, clogged drain lines, frozen evaporator coils, and electrical faults. We arrive with a fully stocked truck so most repairs are completed in a single visit.
Salt air is the quiet killer of HVAC systems this close to the Gulf. On calls throughout Redington Shores we routinely find corroded capacitors and contactors, pitted cabinets, and drain lines clogged well ahead of schedule — issues that show up years earlier here than on equipment just a few miles inland. On every repair call we assess the full picture and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or system replacement makes more sense, especially on equipment that's been fighting Gulf-front exposure for a decade or more. Not sure where your system stands? Our guide on how to know when your AC needs repair is a good starting point. All pricing is upfront and flat-rate before any work begins.
Whole-Home Dehumidification & Air Quality in Redington Shores
Surrounded by the Gulf on one side and Boca Ciega Bay on the other, Redington Shores carries a humidity load that most AC systems were never designed to manage alone. In condos and site-built homes alike, that shows up as musty odors, condensation on windows and vents, and mold or mildew inside air handlers and ductwork — especially in units that sit empty for stretches between rentals or seasonal visits.
A whole-home dehumidifier works alongside your existing system to pull moisture out of the air independently of cooling — one of the most effective upgrades for a Gulf-front property in this climate. Air Bros pairs dehumidification with a full range of Indoor Air Quality solutions, including UV light air purifiers to address the growth we commonly find inside air handlers on barrier island properties. There are more reasons than comfort alone to improve your home's air quality, and we walk you through financing options so cost is never the reason a problem goes unaddressed.
HVAC Maintenance & Membership in Redington Shores
Equipment on the barrier island works harder and corrodes faster than systems just a few miles inland. That combination makes routine HVAC maintenance one of the smartest investments a Redington Shores property owner can make. Regular service catches salt-air corrosion on capacitors and contactors, weak amp draws, and clogged drain lines before they turn into no-cool emergencies — and it keeps your system running efficiently through Florida's long cooling season. If you've ever wondered why preventive maintenance matters, the savings and reliability add up quickly this close to the Gulf.
Our Air Bros Premium Membership includes scheduled tune-ups where we clean and inspect coils, check refrigerant pressures and temperature splits, test electrical components, and flush and treat condensate drains. Given how fast salt air ages equipment here, we routinely recommend a biannual plan over a single annual visit for Gulf-front properties. Members get priority scheduling and pricing — which matters most in July, when you least want to be waiting.
AC Service for Condos & Vacation Rentals in Redington Shores
A large share of Redington Shores is beachfront condo living — buildings like Redington Towers and Club Redington, where air handlers sit in interior closets, condensers share tight outdoor space with dozens of other units, and any repair or replacement means coordinating with an HOA or condo association. Add in how many properties here operate as vacation rentals, sitting unoccupied for stretches between guests, and you've got a service situation that most inland HVAC companies aren't built to handle well.
Air Bros services both full-time residents and rental property owners throughout Redington Shores' condo communities. We're familiar with HOA coordination, gated-access scheduling, and the smaller-footprint systems common in these buildings, and we can work directly with property managers when the owner isn't on-site. For rental units especially, catching a bad capacitor or a clogged drain line during a routine visit — rather than after a guest calls in a no-cool emergency — protects both your equipment and your reviews. Whether it's a full system replacement in a high-rise unit or ongoing maintenance on a rental property, we handle it the same way we'd handle our own.
Why Redington Shores Homeowners Choose Air Bros
We pull permits on every installation through Pinellas County, which protects your property's value and ensures your system is installed to code. Our pricing is upfront and flat-rate — you'll know the full cost before we start, with no surprise charges after the job is done.
Emergency service is available around the clock, including weekends and holidays, because AC failures don't wait for business hours. We service properties throughout Redington Shores, from the condo towers along Gulf Boulevard to the homes near Constitution Park and Del Bello Park. When you call Air Bros, you're talking to someone who knows Redington Shores — not a call center routing your ticket to whoever is available. Yes. Direct Gulf-front salt air accelerates corrosion on capacitors, contactors, and outdoor cabinets, and Redington Shores properties often see this wear years ahead of schedule compared to homes just a few miles inland. Regular maintenance — cleaning connections and catching corrosion early — makes a real difference, and when it's time to replace, we can recommend equipment better suited to a barrier island environment.
Yes. We regularly work in Redington Shores' condo buildings, including gated communities like Redington Towers and Club Redington. We coordinate with HOAs and property managers, understand the access and scheduling requirements common to these buildings, and are experienced with the closet air handlers and shared outdoor space typical of condo living.
Your AC removes some moisture as it cools, but sitting between the Gulf and Boca Ciega Bay means the humidity load often exceeds what cooling alone can handle — especially in units left unoccupied between stays. If your property feels clammy, smells musty, or shows condensation, a whole-home dehumidifier that runs independently of the AC is usually the fix.
At least once a year, and we typically recommend twice given the direct Gulf exposure here. Salt air, humidity, and Florida's long cooling season put more strain on equipment on the barrier island than in many inland areas, so a biannual tune-up to clean coils, treat the condensate drain, and test components helps prevent breakdowns before they hit during peak season.

Upon my inspection found condenser fan motor not running and compressor is very hot. Found bad capacitor. Recommended replacing the capacitor as a priority but also a contactar as a precaution due to the systems age and corrosion present. Replaced both capacitor and contactar. System is cooling with a 20° temperature split and good amp draws. Evaporator coils are clean. Blower wheel is decently clean. Client states that air bnb apartment #1 does not go down past 78°. Upon my inspection, found system supply and return plenums are detached from the air handler and as a result sucking in attic air and supplying cold air to the attic. This is causing the system to run inefficiently. Recommended re sealing the supply and return plenums to keep the air flow within the apartment. Checked system pressures and it appears that the system may be slightly over charged with refrigerant. However the system has a good 18° temperature split. The installation of this system is poor and it appears that the company who installed it did not follow proper installation procedures. For example, the secondary emergency drain pan is too small for the air handler and is not up to code regulations. Scope of work today: - Re strap up duct plenums - Re Seal plenums to unit **No guarantee on system performance after repairs due to poor installation procedures from another company.** System is cooling at t
