Found system not cooling due to a bad capacitor. System is out of two year labor warranty. Replaced the capacitor at a discounted rate. System is cooling at this time with good amp draws and a 20° temperature split. Rinsed condenser coils and filled p trap in drain line with water as client vacuumed drain and did not introduce water back into the trap. System cooling and draining at this time.
On arrival found unit not cooling due to clogged drain. Cleared pan and drain. Found evaporator coil dirty with oil residue in pan. Recommend to replace evaporator coil instead of performing pull and clean. Unit draining properly.

Tightened up complimentary Lennox (4) 2 ton: master bedroom 2023 Good Uv light broken Evap coils are clean *Blower speed too low. Adjusted for proper airflow. Temp split was 27. Now 20° split. Complimentary adjustment Recommendations: 4 system maintenance plan (on schedule now) Capacitor and contactar replacement on movie room system Replace foyer system (on schedule for Tuesday 8:30am) Install new UV systems in all units if wanted by client.

Found downstairs system is off due to clogged drain line. Performed drain cleaning. Drain line may require an extensive lvl 3 treatment upon next issue with the drain backing up. System is 20 years old. Started system up and found compressor is over amping at 9.78 amps when rated for 8.7 amps. Found evaporator coils are severely rusted. Presented findings to client and clients would like a quote for a new system to be proactive. Quote sent for system replacement. System is cooling and draining at this time.
Upon arrival, the homeowner informed me that the system had stopped working overnight. I found that the air handler was operating, but the condenser was not running. Upon further diagnosis, I found that the low-pressure safety switch was open. I connected my gauges and found that the system was completely empty of refrigerant. I discussed the issue with the homeowner, and we agreed to perform a leak search. During the leak search, I located a refrigerant leak at a copper line joint where the joint had failed and was actively leaking refrigerant. I discussed the repair options and cost with the homeowner, and they approved the repair. I was able to complete the copper repair the same day. After completing the repair, I pulled the system into a vacuum and verified that it was holding properly before adding the appropriate amount of refrigerant back into the system. After completing the repair and charging the system, I tested the equipment and confirmed that it is operating properly.

Upon arrival, the homeowner stated that the indoor blower motor was not consistently turning on. During my diagnostic, I found that the blower motor capacitor was testing below its rated capacitance, which was causing intermittent operation. The homeowner also informed me that electrical rewiring work was recently performed on the home. During my inspection, I found that the contactor lead wires had overheated and were visibly burnt. I discussed my findings with the homeowner, and approval was given to replace the blower motor capacitor, replace the contactor, and install new lead wires to ensure safe and reliable operation. After completing the repairs, I tested the system through a full cooling cycle. The system is now operating properly with a 19°F temperature difference between the return and supply air, which is within the normal operating range. Upon arrival, the system was not turning on, and I checked the float switch, and it was currently triggered. The pan was full of water, and the PVC pipe was clogged up. I performed a drain line treatment in a pan, cleaning, after cleaning up everything, the system turned on And with a 19° temperature difference.
Upon arrival, I turned on the system and found that the condenser was not operating. I began my diagnostic by checking the electrical components and found a failed capacitor. I replaced the capacitor; however, the compressor still would not start. I verified that proper high voltage was present at the compressor, but the compressor remained non-operational. To further diagnose the issue, I cooled the compressor with ice water and restarted the system. The compressor started and the system began operating temporarily, indicating the compressor is failing internally and overheating. While the system was running, I recorded a 26°F temperature differential. I also checked the refrigerant cycle and found a subcooling reading of 22°F, which is indicative of a restricted or malfunctioning metering device (TXV). The upstairs system had a 20°F temperature differential, and the secondary system had a 19°F temperature differential, both of which are within normal operating range. I then performed a complete electrical inspection. Both systems are operating properly with no issues or concerns at this time. The refrigerant cycles appear healthy, with no signs of leaks or restrictions. As part of today’s maintenance, I performed a drain line treatment, condenser coil cleaning, and air handler inspection on both systems. Confirmed operation of equipment without float switch. Found equipment operating well. Found growth on blower. Installed uv treatment kit today. Flushed drain line and drain pan today. Changed all filters today.
Upon arrival, the air handler was powered on; however, there was no airflow coming from the supply vents. I checked the blower motor and found that it was not operating. I turned off power at the thermostat and attempted to run the blower manually, but the motor still did not turn on. Further diagnostics confirmed that proper voltage is being supplied to the motor, but the motor is non-responsive and has failed internally. The blower motor is currently burnt out. Due to the age of the system, a specific replacement motor from Carrier will need to be ordered. Please contact the homeowner tomorrow to discuss scheduling the repair and replacement.
