On arrival, homeowner told me she had damper issues. Upon further inspection, I found the downstairs damper staying open 3/4 of the way, even when power is supplied to close the damper. These are normally open dampers this damper motor has failed. We need to replace one damper motor supplying the bottom floor. There was another damper that was not hooked up. We are going to remove the damper so that they can have flow to a major 10 inch supply above the stair staircase.

Upon further inspection, homeowner had told me that somebody topped off refrigerant last week hooked up my gauges to check pressures to find the system was low again with the system becoming low in such a short time there's a major leak within the system. I performed a leak search for free found leak in evaporator coil/ txv. 
Both these components will need to be replaced.

System only has secondary safety float switch and no primary. Let client know that this is allowing for garage air to enter the home. Checked amp draw on compressor. Checked amp draw on fan motor. Checked capacitor is within factory range. Inspected Contactar. Contactar is buzzing and showing signs of potential failure/shorting out. Made sure all connections are tight. System is cooling with a 20° temperature split at this time.

Found burnt fuse on arrival. Found a couple shorting in the low voltage wire made repairs and replaced fuse to find that the system is still off on low voltage. During diagnostics transformer failed. Did not have part on truck we will be sending another technician out later in the day with correct components.

Condenser CDV error: Unit Bus com error
Found corrosion on inverter control board at condenser unit. Noticed snake skin, mud robber nest, and the smell of something dead behind the control board cover. The corrosion was present on the CDV plug as well as further down the board. 
Cleaned off corrosion carefully with finger and restarted the whole system. Went through all other error codes with service manual. Cleared all codes out of history. System is cooling with good pressures and a 23° temperature split at this time. Verified all components are communicating properly at this time.  If problem occurs again, possible control board replacement or system replacement given the age of the system and cost of a new board out of warranty.
