The Best AC Repair in St. Petersburg, FL — From Technicians Your Neighbors Already Trust
When your AC quits in the middle of a St. Pete summer, you don't want a stranger in an unmarked van. You want a technician your neighbors already know and trust. Air Bros Air Conditioning & Electrical has been fixing air conditioners in St. Petersburg since 2020, but our roots run deeper — founder Ricky Orta grew up learning the trade from his father and has been a licensed HVAC contractor since 2006. That local, hands-on experience is why homeowners from Historic Kenwood to Snell Isle call us the best AC repair company in St. Petersburg.
We're headquartered right here in the Shore Acres neighborhood, so when you call, you're not routed to a call center — you're talking to the same local team that services your street.
Call us at 727-217-6148 or contact us online today for all of your HVAC, indoor air quality and electrical needs.
Meet the technicians who service St. Petersburg
What to expect when we show up
Calling a repair company you've never used before shouldn't feel like a gamble. Here's exactly how an Air Bros service call goes, every time.
You'll get a heads-up before we arrive, then a uniformed technician in a marked Air Bros vehicle shows up in the window we promised. We diagnose the whole system — not just the obvious symptom — then explain what we found and what your options are before any work starts. You approve the price up front, we make the repair, and we don't leave until we've confirmed the system is cooling the way it should.
Every technician is a background-checked, drug-tested Air Bros employee — never a subcontractor — and each one is trained to service every major AC and heat pump brand. It's the kind of consistency you can only get from a local team that answers to its own name.
And if something isn't right? Our 100% satisfaction guarantee means we make it right.
Signs you need AC repair
St. Petersburg's heat and humidity push air conditioners harder than almost anywhere else in the country. Call for AC repair if you notice:
- Warm air blowing from vents, or the system running constantly without cooling
- Water pooling around your air handler (a common issue in St. Pete's older homes with attic-run drain lines)
- Musty odors or visible mold near vents — a sign of a clogged condensate line or dirty coil
- Rising humidity indoors despite the AC running
- Short cycling, tripped breakers, or a system that won't turn on at all
Our technicians diagnose the full system on every call — refrigerant charge, temperature split, electrical connections, and drain line — so you get a real fix, not a temporary patch.
